HIRING – Chef (Hospitality Industry)

Work Schedule: One day on, One day off
About Company: Our client is a newly established Boutique Hotel with 16 luxury rooms located in Abuja.
Job Summary: The company is seeking to hire an experienced Chef who will be responsible for planning, preparing, and executing high-quality meals both local and continental that meet the company’s culinary standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare a variety of meals in line with menu specifications and customer preferences.
- Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen meet quality, taste, and presentation expectations.
- Support in planning and developing menus for restaurants, room service, and events.
- Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff to ensure high performance.
- Manage waste reduction and portion control to optimize efficiency.
- Enforce strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards (in line with HACCP).
- Collaborate with other hotel departments, particularly food and beverage service teams, to ensure timely and smooth service.
Requirements
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Chef in a hotel, resort, or similar hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of international and local cuisines.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP compliance preferred).
