Our client is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Parte to join their culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for running a specific section of the kitchen efficiently, maintaining high standards of food preparation and presentation, and supporting the Head Chef in delivering an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
● Prepare and present dishes in line with the client's quality and consistency standards.
● Assist in the development and refinement of menu items, contributing creative ideas.
● Ensure food preparation and storage areas are maintained in accordance with health and safety standards.
● Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff and ensure smooth daily operations within your section.
● Maintain proper inventory levels; report shortages and requisition supplies as needed.
● Monitor portion control, minimize food waste, and ensure efficient use of resources.
● Work collaboratively with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely and consistent service.
● Uphold hygiene, cleanliness, and sanitation procedures in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
● Participate in kitchen briefings, training, and shift planning as required.
Requirements:
● Proven experience as a Chef de Parte or strong experience as a Demi Chef in a reputable kitchen.
● Formal culinary training or equivalent hands-on experience.
● Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and presentation standards.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
● Excellent time management and organizational skills.
● Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
