Job Summary:

The Deputy General Manager, Mechanical (Cement Mill) will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical maintenance activities within the cement mill section as Mechanical Maintenance In-charge for designated lines in the Cement Mills section The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning of mechanical maintenance activities, spare parts, exposure to preventive and predictive maintenance skills, provide ongoing mechanical engineering support on maintenance, repair and service of specified Mill for Cement Grinding  equipment , HSE and plant optimization. This role demands expertise in mechanical processes and a commitment to ensuring optimal equipment performance to support production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Good knowledge of industrial safety practices to ensure zero harm during maintenance activities.
  • Maintain daily maintenance records, equipment histories and costs. Day to day coordination with Seniors for maintenance plan, spare parts and needed changes toward increasing reliability.
  • Analyze, record, troubleshoots equipment problems, and proffer procedure recommendations.
  • Coordination with other departments for plant maintenance.
  • Diagnose root cause and specify method of repair for plant equipment.
  • Document Plant Maintenance and technical work by setting up necessary files and preparing appropriate records and reports.
  • Provide guidance and lead  the technicians in the execution of maintenance works.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Senior Management  from time to time.


Requirements

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 21 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within the cement industry.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role overseeing mechanical operations.

Skills & Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance practices in a cement mill environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Proficient in the use of maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards applicable to the cement industry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
