Our client is a leading figure in the
Multimedia Production Industry,
renowned for delivering rich, insightful content that shapes and celebrates the essence of Nigerian /African fashion, music, and entertainment, both locally and globally.
They are seeking a Finance Manager
to support financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data. The ideal candidate is responsible for keeping up-to-date account records and oversees smooth transactions that occur internally and externally.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare Financial/Project budgets, review and obtain all necessary approvals prior to making any expenditures.
- Prepare Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly Financial Reports.
- Provide insightful information and expectations to Management to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
- Monitor, project and ensure that expenditure is made as per approved budget.
- Ensure the company is compliant with PAYE, FIRS, NSIFT, VAT, CAC Returns, ITF and other regulatory bodies (this will be done in partnership with the HR Manager).
- Direct control of Banking responsibilities under close supervision by the Group.
- Ensure salaries are disbursed in a timely manner and approved monthly by the Human Resources Manager.
- Prepare all requisitions and invoices across the verticals.
- Monitor and track all receivable by clients.Ensure timely disbursement of funds to all vendors and partners following approval by the Management.
- Manage general ledger maintenance processes.
- Provides reliable and pertinent information for organizing and allocating funds.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
- Coordinate with Human Resources Manager to evaluate all fiscal policies and recommend improvements for programs.
- Managing petty cash transactions by working with the Admin.
- Reconciling finance accounts and direct debits.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience with payroll systems.
- Experience in Operational Accounts Management (Hands-on experience, preferably with measurable outcomes).
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or its equivalent qualifications in Finance related disciplines.
- At Least One Recognized and Completed Certification ACCA, ICAN ,ACA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant certifications in accounting/finance.
- Minimum 5 years’ working experience in a similar role.
- Proximity to VI (Victoria Island)
- Work History in at Least One Recognizable Organization (Preferably a well-structured company, either local or international, to ensure exposure to established processes and corporate professionalism.

KPI
- Submit the Monthly report for the previous month before the 5th of a current month for the group.
- Crosscheck every payment request and invoices presented before processing
- Send in quarterly financial reports to FINCON
- Liaise with Tax Consultants to ensure 100% compliance
- Timely disbursements of funds according to the agreed procedures in the agreed SOP Manual.
- Ensure disbursement of salaries before the 27th of every month
- Ensure no more than 5% loss management accounts
- Manage departmental/business budgets
- Ensure general financial audits at least once yearly
- Prepare and present annual financial reports to all stakeholders
