Mechanical Design Engineer

- Lead the development of engineering design solutions and new products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal design outcomes.
- Provide technical support to the Sales Team by addressing complex customer inquiries, assisting in proposal development, and clarifying design specifications.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, overseeing the preparation of engineering documentation such as drawings, calculation notes, and technical reports.
- Plan and organize project activities by assigning tasks to engineers, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely project completion in line with schedule requirements.
- Ensure engineering documentation adheres to quality standards and document management procedures, conducting regular audits and reviews.
- Conduct advanced design analysis, simulations, and testing to validate designs and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Identify and implement design and process improvements to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to continuously improve design methodologies and integrate best practices into projects
- B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with expertise in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Certifications such as Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) or Certified Mechanical Engineer (CMfgT)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) for those involved in managing large design project
