  • Provide technical support in procurement, vendor selection, and contractor management.

  • Ensure projects meet budget, timeline, and quality standards set by the World Bank and regulatory authorities.

  • Prepare and submit progress reports, compliance documentation, and work with project auditors to ensure financial and operational transparency.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including technical reports, drawings, and compliance records.

Research & Compliance

  • Stay up to date with advancements in water infrastructure technologies, materials, and mechanical systems.

  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards are met in all project phases.

  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project compliance with World Bank execution frameworks.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in water infrastructure, public utilities, or large-scale engineering projects.

  • Experience working on World Bank-funded water projects is highly preferred.

  • Membership in COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria) or other professional engineering bodies is an advantage.

Technical & Engineering Skills

  • Expertise in pump systems, piping, HVAC, and mechanical components used in water treatment and distribution.

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for designing mechanical systems.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical testing, failure analysis, and quality control.

  • Familiarity with World Bank project execution frameworks, procurement processes, and reporting standards.

  • Experience in preparing progress reports, ensuring regulatory compliance, and working with project auditors.

Personal Attributes

  • Highly motivated and results-driven.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Willingness to travel nationwide for project oversight, inspections, and installations.

Benefits

  • Performance-based incentives.

  • Career growth opportunities in the water and public infrastructure sectors.

  • Training and professional development programs.
