Main tasks will include but are not limited to the following:
Supervise and guide a team of mechanical engineers to deliver high-quality mechanical design and engineering outputs across all project phases.
Coordinate and facilitate discipline-specific technical work, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and timelines.
Review and evaluate engineering deliverables from internal teams, contractors, and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with company specifications, applicable codes, and industry best practices.
Identify deviations from technical specifications or regulatory requirements and manage their resolution in accordance with established company procedures.
Maintain a Deviation Control Log and ensure timely closure of all open issues.
Respond to and steward discipline-specific engineering queries and technical information requests from contractors and project stakeholders.
Communicate progress, risks, deviations, and concerns clearly to the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager.
Lead or participate in technical design reviews and inspections at contractor or sub-contractor locations.
Promote and implement capital efficiency initiatives during engineering design and development.
Support engineering innovation, standardization, and global practice initiatives within the organization.
Foster effective communication and collaboration across project teams, departments, and functions.
Education Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
Professional Qualification:
Professional Engineering (PE) certification
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in design and operations within the oil & gas or manufacturing sector.
Experience must include at least 5 years in a supervisory or advisory role
