Mechanical Lead II

Job Duties/ Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Main tasks will include but are not limited to the following:

• Supervise and guide a team of mechanical engineers to deliver high-quality mechanical design and engineering outputs across all project phases.
• Coordinate and facilitate discipline-specific technical work, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and timelines.
• Review and evaluate engineering deliverables from internal teams, contractors, and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with company specifications, applicable codes, and industry best practices.
• Identify deviations from technical specifications or regulatory requirements and manage their resolution in accordance with established company procedures.
• Maintain a Deviation Control Log and ensure timely closure of all open issues.
• Respond to and steward discipline-specific engineering queries and technical information requests from contractors and project stakeholders.
• Communicate progress, risks, deviations, and concerns clearly to the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager.
• Lead or participate in technical design reviews and inspections at contractor or sub-contractor locations.
• Promote and implement capital efficiency initiatives during engineering design and development.
• Support engineering innovation, standardization, and global practice initiatives within the organization.
