Mechanical MEP Design Engineer
HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Fighting project experience is essential

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Additional certifications in HVAC, Fire Protection, BIM/Revit, or Project Management will be advantageous.
Experience
  • Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in Mechanical MEP design and construction projects.
  • Experience in coordination with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Previous experience on commercial, healthcare, residential, hospitality, or mixed-use developments preferred.
Technical Competencies
  • Proficient in:
    • AutoCAD
    • Revit MEP / BIM Coordination
    • MS Office Suite
    • HVAC design software such as HAP or equivalent
  • Ability to prepare, review, and coordinate:
    • Shop drawings
    • Coordination drawings
    • As-built drawings
    • Material submittals
    • Equipment schedules
    • Technical specifications
    • Design calculations and reports
Systems Experience
  • HVAC systems including chilled water systems, VRF systems, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation, pressurization, and smoke extraction systems.
  • Duct sizing calculations, pipe sizing calculations, heat load calculations, and HAP analysis.
  • Plumbing systems including domestic water, drainage, stormwater, sewage, pumps, water treatment systems, and associated calculations.
  • Fire fighting systems including sprinkler systems, hydrants, hose reels, fire pumps, clean agent systems, and fire water storage systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and coordinate mechanical MEP designs in compliance with project requirements and applicable codes/standards.
  • Review consultant drawings and specifications for coordination and constructability.
  • Coordinate with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines during design and construction stages.
  • Support tender documentation, BOQs, technical evaluations, and material approvals.
  • Participate in BIM coordination and clash resolution meetings.
  • Conduct site inspections and support installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
