Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Salary: 150,000 - 200,000 monthly (depending on experience)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support licensed pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and delivering excellent customer service in a busy pharmacy setting located at Victoria Island, Lagos. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in medication preparation, inventory control, and administrative pharmacy duties while complying with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in accurately filling and dispensing prescriptions, including measuring, counting, packaging, and labeling medications with correct patient and drug information.
Verify prescription accuracy for dosage, route, and patient information as directed by the pharmacist.
Support compounding of medications under pharmacist supervision, where applicable.
Manage pharmacy inventory by stocking, organizing, and monitoring medication levels, placing orders as necessary, and ensuring timely removal of expired drugs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date pharmacy and patient records, including prescription details and inventory logs.
Process insurance claims and handle necessary paperwork related to prescription payments.
Provide friendly and professional customer service, answering patient questions and addressing concerns within scope.
Handle phone inquiries and direct calls to relevant personnel effectively.
Support pharmacists with administrative duties to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy to meet safety and infection control standards.
Keep abreast of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices, ensuring compliance with Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) standards.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum of a Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy Technology from a recognized institution.
Current registration with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
Valid practicing license issued by the PCN.
At least 2-3 years of experience working in a pharmacy, hospital, or healthcare environment.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic pharmacy software is advantageous.
Ability to work under supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
