SEA-FAJ Consults is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and highly skilled Private House Chef to manage all aspects of meal preparation in a private residence. The ideal candidate should be passionate about cooking, maintain high standards of hygiene, and be able to prepare a variety of local and continental dishes while catering to the family's dietary preferences.
Plan and prepare daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks) for the household.
Cook a wide variety of Nigerian and Continental cuisines.
Develop weekly meal plans in consultation with the employer.
Shop for fresh ingredients and manage kitchen inventory.
Ensure proper storage of food items and minimize food waste.
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety in the kitchen.
Accommodate special dietary requirements and food allergies where necessary.
Prepare meals for guests during family events and special occasions.
Monitor kitchen supplies and recommend items for purchase.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report any faults promptly.
Minimum of an SSCE, OND, or equivalent qualification.
Professional culinary training or certification is an added advantage.
At least 3 years' experience as a private chef, executive chef, or in a reputable hotel or restaurant.
Strong knowledge of Nigerian and Continental cuisine.
Ability to prepare healthy and balanced meals.
Excellent knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
Trustworthy, discreet, and able to maintain confidentiality.
Well-organised with excellent time management skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
Creative menu planning and presentation.
Knowledge of baking and pastry preparation is an advantage.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
