Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation on a wide variety of mechanical equipment used in our facilities. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Liase with Operators, to identify problematic equipment /machines in the plant and effect repairs promptly.
  • Implement SOP’s for Maintenance
  • Performing Inspection on Belt Conveyor, Bucket elevator and Truck tripplers , shiploaderS, Reclaimers and Truck loaders.
  • Carryout fabrication and Welding operations as per modification of equipment.
  • Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
  • Maintain interactions with unit heads to ensure provision of resources and negotiate necessary amendments to operations strategy.
  • Cleaning of Dust collector bags using the compressor air.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by line manager.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mechnical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 2- 5 years of work experience in Mechanical maintenance within an industrial setting.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, and safety protocols.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to work independently and in team settings.

  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and Mechanical software.
