POSITION SUMMARY

An international energy operation is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to oversee electrical engineering activities across combined cycle power generation facilities. This role will support commissioning, startup, maintenance, reliability, and long-term operational performance of critical power generation assets in a remote operational environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead electrical engineering and reliability activities for power generation operations.
  • Support commissioning and startup operations.
  • Develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Ensure reliability and availability of electrical systems and assets.
  • Work closely with EPC and operations teams during installation and commissioning phases.
  • Support troubleshooting and operational optimization.
  • Oversee major electrical and power generation assets, including gas turbines, steam turbines, switchgear, transformers, motors, generators, protection relays, electrical controls, instrumentation, and related systems.
  • Support budgeting, procurement, maintenance planning, and spare-parts readiness.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop multicultural technical teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of electrical engineering experience.
  • Strong CCGT / combined cycle experience required.
  • Prior power generation operations leadership experience required.
  • Commissioning/startup experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior international or remote operational experience preferred.

  • Strong preference for candidates from Nigeria, Ghana, or broader West Africa.
  • Strong people leadership and communication skills required.
  • Remote rotational assignment.
