A newly commissioned company in the maritime sector, which offers its services to both domestic and international clients, is looking for vibrant, energetic and intelligent individuals to join its team for the positions
Carry out daily inspections to see that the equipment are in excellent working condition
Report defects and use initiative where necessary
Operate the equipment assigned in accordance with the manual of operations and universal best practice, while observing all necessary safety rules
Perform related work as assigned
Receive and deliver containers to internal movement tractor units anti external truckers
A minimum of SSCE or its equivalent and/or certification (Trade Test) in plant operation Higher level qualification is an added advantage.
Ability to provide training and explain instructions and guidelines to others effectively
Ability to organize and co-ordinate the work of the unit
Ability to determine job priorities
Agility and physical ability to operate and move heavy equipment
Vision that is adequate to drive and judge distances
Climbing up and down large pieces of heavy machinery
Certification, apprentice and/or knowledge of equipment operation of cranes, rubber tyred gantries (RTG), reach-stackers, etc and/or maintenance of heavy duty equipment (Plants)
Knowledge of computer, IT/Keyboards skills
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the operation of cranes and ports operations
Ability to detect operating defects/faults
Ability to work with high voltage equipment
Ability to keep records of fuel used and general operating conditions
Written and verbal communication skill
Vast working experience in the maritime sector
Applicants must range between the ages of 23-35 years
