Our client is a group of companies in Nigeria. Due to expansion, they are in need of a Facility Manager

Job Summary
The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, security, and functionality of all company facilities. This includes managing day-to-day operations, coordinating repairs and renovations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and optimizing facility usage for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage service contracts and supervise third-party vendors (security, cleaning, HVAC, etc.).
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Monitor facility budgets and manage cost-saving initiatives.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify issues and improvements.
  • Coordinate office space planning and relocation projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and facility usage.
  • Ensure optimal utility management (power, water, HVAC systems, etc.).
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations or urgent issues as they arise.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in facility or operations management.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, mechanical, plumbing).
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software.
  • Ability to manage budgets, contracts, and service-level agreements.
  • Working knowledge of safety standards and building codes.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
