A reputable investment company based in Lagos requires dynamic and resourceful persons to fill the following positions:

Job Description

  • Serve as a senior investment executive, a fiduciary, and an expert in all aspects of investment and portfolio management
  • Serve as a sitting member of the Investment Committee (IC) and provide sound and fully supported recommendations and advice on the investment mandates to IC
  • Direct on-going research, review, and oversight of modern portfolio theory and its application
  • Research and remain current with global financial markets, as well as economic and political news/trends Provide leadership and direction to the investment team to ensure implementation of the Company’s Investment Policy
  • Evaluate and review asset allocation and investment strategy on an on-going basis to monitor performance
  • Maintain responsibility for supervision of all asset classes including equities, fixed income, cash, and alternative asset classes (real estate, private equity, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance of the Fund’s compliance requirement with relevant authorities
  • Implement investment and risk management policies in line with the Fund’s mandate
  • Manage and develop team of investment management professionals (internal and/or external) to manage, evaluate, and dispose of investments
  • Develop and implement training and professional development plans for investment staff
  • Develop, in conjunction with Executive Management, a laddered portfolio strategy to satisfy the Company’s obligations where necessary

Qualifications

  • University first degree in a relevant field, minimum second class lower
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • A relevant professional qualification such as the CFA would be an advantage

Additional Information

  • Minimum 10 years investment management experience in one or more areas of research, bond/securities trading, investment management and product
  • The successful candidate should have a proven track record in divestiture, experience of constructing and managing a traditional and alternative asset class fund and a track record in generating returns on investments.
