Legal Officer (Lekki)

Objectives:
To ensure the company complies with the statutory and corporate governance as observed in the oil and gas industry and to provide advice on corporate legal issues and business matters.
Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ accountabilities:
Regulatory compliance.
Contract negotiation.
Risk management.
Environmental Compliance.
Dispute resolution.
Intellectual property protection.
Corporate governance.
Employment and Labor law.
Health and safety policies.
Stakeholder management.
Providing legal and corporate counselling as well as written legal advice and opinions on all legal/contact matters.
Serving as Company Secretary to the Board of Directors.
Reviewing and advising on all agreements, MOA’S/MOU’S, Pro-forma Invoice, Contacts, and other instruments or documents of legal character.
Representing the organization before the public and/or other bodies for the filing, registration, initializing, or recordation of any instrument, document, or transaction to which the organization is a party both within and outside the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In appropriate cases, liaising directly or otherwise with External Attorneys appointed by Organization.
Prepare of documentation on conveyance, acquisition of title to land/real estate, and registration of title to land.
Representation of organization in court, arbitration, mediation or tribunal established by the law.
Qualifications & Experience:
(Experience, education, and certification required of the employee performing the job).
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years post graduate experience in a similar role.
