Title: Nigerian Technician

Hours: Full-time

Location: Hybrid work in Lagos Nigeria at different BioLite or Partner warehouses. The work will also involve some level of travel within Nigeria and occasionally outside Nigeria.

Reports to: Emerging Markets, Warranty Operations Manager

Compensation: A competitive salary, commensurate with candidate experience.

This Role:

BioLite is looking for an experienced Technical Support Specialist to join our team focused on After Sales and Warranty Services in Nigeria. In this role, you will deliver high-quality technical support to our partners, ensuring smooth warranty operations and resolution of product issues. You'll lead hands-on product diagnostics and repairs, support training and documentation, and contribute directly to product quality insights that drive improvement.


You Will: (Job Description)

After Sales & Warranty Service

  • Deliver Best in Class Technical Support and After Sales Service (Training and Repair)
  • Drive collection and consolidation of Partner data, including product feedback, critical to contributing to BioLite's Quality and Sustaining teams
  • Notify the EM Warranty Operations Manager of all suspected Major product quality issues and escalations
  • Support in the resolution of all Partner product quality issues- Repair of Partner warranty returns

Process & Compliance

  • Help implement BioLite's Warranty Policy, processes, training and tools with Partners
  • Write diagnostic, test and repair documents.
  • Support training (Product use, Product fault diagnosis)
  • Support Partner audits of failed and replaced units under warranty

External Communications

  • Support partners by ensuring consistent, support, clear updates, and technical guidance that enables efficient warranty operations.
  • Attend bi-weekly Partner meetings for Technical support and After Sales, ensure all technical questions raised are being addressed internally.

Internal Communications

  • Support positive collaboration with cross-functional teams—such as Business Development, Product, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain—by communicating clearly, following through on tasks, and helping resolve operational and technical issues.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Managers for your accounts, ensuring Partner needs are managed effectively.
  • Provide regular updates to your tasks and priorities assigned to you
  • Attend applicable partner meetings chaired by the Business Development (BD) team

Special Projects / New Product Introduction

  • Lead QC Activities (i.e. visual inspection / functional testing / charging)
  • Lead specialised QC / Root cause Investigation
  • Support specialised product re-work activities (i.e. SN rework, firmware updates)
  • Support Field trials as required (installations, collecting data, reviewing/qcing units)


You Have: (Qualifications and Experience Required)

  • 2+ years experience in a relevant technical role
  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering or relevant degree
  • Experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa for a company producing or distributing hardware.
  • Organisational planning of workloads and priorities to meet targets and deadlines
  • Strong Technical Judgement; able to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions, choosing the most appropriate one.
  • Use structure, logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to follow complex instructions, and process data efficiently.
  • Thrives in dynamic environments and adapts quickly to changing priorities or conditions.
  • Willing to contribute in areas beyond formal job description.
  • Takes ownership of responsibilities, demonstrates initiative, and follows through on commitments.
  • Demonstrated English fluency, including the ability to write professional reports, conduct presentations, and engage effectively with all partners.
