Job Summary: 

 

  • As a Senior Events & Activations Officer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing impactful events and activations that enhance brand visibility and engage target audiences. 
  •  Managing end-to-end event logistics, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure the seamless execution of creative and memorable experiences. 

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Develop event strategies aligned with the organisation's goals and brand objectives. 
  • Conduct research to identify event opportunities, industry trends, and audience preferences. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define event themes, objectives, and key messaging. 
  • Develop innovative event concepts and activations that align with the brand's identity and target audience. 
  • Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and creative teams to create visually appealing and engaging event experiences. 
  • Incorporate interactive elements, technology, and other creative ideas to enhance event impact. 
  • Work closely with marketing teams to develop event marketing strategies and promotional materials. 
  • Coordinate with the communications team to create pre-event and post-event content for various channels. 
  • Utilise social media platforms, email marketing, and other channels to generate excitement and drive attendance. 
  • Liaise with internal teams, clients, vendors, and sponsors to ensure alignment and successful collaboration. 
  • Negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and coordinate deliverables with event vendors and suppliers. 
  • Maintain effective communication channels with all stakeholders to address their needs and expectations. 
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines. 
  • Monitor expenses, track invoices, and provide regular reports on event expenditures. 
  • Identify sponsorship and partnership opportunities to offset costs and enhance event resources. 
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to measure event success against defined objectives. 
  • Analyse attendee feedback, event data, and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement. 
  • Generate reports summarising event outcomes and provide recommendations for future events. 
  • Responsible for using and maintaining the filing system of the company at all times and in line with existing policies. 
  • Undertaking any necessary duties to ensure a first-class service is provided always. 
  • Being an ambassador for the business always. 

 

Qualifications, Competency & Skills Required: 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 
  • Proven experience in planning and executing creative events and activations, preferably in the creative industry. 
  • Strong creative thinking and ideation skills to develop innovative concepts and experiences. 
  • Excellent project management abilities, with the capacity to oversee multiple events and activations simultaneously. 
  • Proficiency in event management software, project management tools, and design software. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and artists. 
  • Keen attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional event experiences. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines. 
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as for event planning and execution. 
  • Experienced Microsoft Office user, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  • Competent Internet, Email, and Google applications user. 
  • Strong organisational and time management skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Lagos, Nigeria; including other locations as . 

 

Office Hours: 

  • 08.00 to 17.00 Mondays to Fridays.
