Responsibilities:
Supervision & Coordination:
- Supervise all electrical installation works carried out by the in-house electrical team (first and final fix stages).
- Coordinate day-to-day activities and ensure alignment with the construction programme.
- Provide technical guidance to electricians and resolve on-site challenges.
Quality Control & Compliance:
- Conduct inspections and testing of all electrical systems (lighting, power, fire alarm, HVAC connections, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian electrical regulations and applicable international standards.
- Maintain high standards of safety and workmanship throughout the project.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, material usage, and progress.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports on electrical progress, issues, and recommendations.
- Prepare red-line drawings and final as-built drawings upon completion of work.
Design & Technical Support:
- Review and interpret electrical construction drawings and specifications.
- Update drawings based on site conditions or approved design changes.
- Liaise with design consultants or external engineers when necessary.
Procurement & Cost Monitoring:
- Recommend appropriate materials, systems, and suppliers based on quality, cost, and suitability.
- Monitor electrical materials inventory and usage.
- Support the procurement team by providing specifications and quantities as needed.
